The 2013/14 season was the first for Manchester United since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ferguson spent almost 27 years in charge and he finished his career at Old Trafford by leading the club to their 20th league title.
His replacement David Moyes won the Community Shield in his first game in charge but the defending champions endured a tough time in the Premier League.
Moyes failed to last the season and he was dismissed in April 2014 with four league matches remaining, with Ryan Giggs then taking charge on a temporary basis until the end of the campaign.
The Red Devils fared better in the UEFA Champions League as they reached the quarter-finals before being knocked out by Bayern Munich, while they also reached the semi-finals of the League Cup.
Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea played the most matches for Man Utd during the 2013/14 season as he made 52 appearances in all competitions.
Full-backs Patrice Evra and Antonio Valencia are next on the list as they made 45 and 44 appearances respectively throughout the campaign.
Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick complete the top five, whilst title-winning captain Nemanja Vidic and emerging prospect Adnan Januzaj also feature on the list.
