World number two Luke Humphries has pulled out of the upcoming Dutch Darts Championship in Maastricht.
The final event on the 2026 European Tour calendar takes place this weekend, but it will not feature either Humphries or his fabled rival Luke Littler, who revealed he will not be participating in the tournament due to the hostile reception he received during the World Series Finals in Amsterdam.
Humphries was expected to be in the mix for a 10th European Tour title at the Dutch Darts Championship.
However, the 2026 World Grand Prix champion has made the late decision to skip the event with his spot in the European Championships in Dortmund next week already secure.
Humphries has been in scintillating form of late and capitalised on Littler's shock elimination in the first round of the World Grand Prix to claim his ninth PDC major title.
Cool Hand then progressed to the final of the Swiss Darts Trophy, where his winning streak was concluded by Jonny Clayton.
Accompanying Humphries on the withdrawal list is Joe Cullen, whose absence from the Dutch Darts Championship means he will not be competing in the European Championships as he sits outside the top 32 in the European Tour Order of Merit.
Replacing Humphries and Cullen in the Dutch Darts Championship is Mike De Decker and Daryl Gurney, while Rob Cross will now be seeded. Gian van Veen will be the number one seed for the tournament.
Dutch duo Heine Uuldriks and Maikel Verberk will be making their European Tour debuts in the Maastricht event.
