Liverpool v Fulham predicted lineups and team news

Liverpool will look to build upon their impressive UEFA Champions League success against Atletico Madrid when they resume Premier League duties on Saturday.

Andoni Iraola oversaw an impressive 2-1 victory over the La Liga giants in midweek and his next assignment will be to record maximum points back on the domestic front against a Fulham side who have endured a difficult start to the campaign.

Liverpool recorded their first Premier League win under former Bournemouth boss Iraola at Ipswich Town last weekend after drawing their opening couple of games with Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest.

Another three point haul against the Cottagers, who are managed by former Anfield man Alvaro Arbeloa, could propel the Merseysiders up to third.

Fulham on the other hand are still awaiting their first points of the term after labouring to defeats in each of their three league outings under their new boss to date.

Spaniard Arbeloa, who made 98 appearances for Liverpool between 2007 and 2009, hasn't quite managed to acclimatise to life in West London, with fans already starting to question his credentials just a few months into his reign.

With a home clash against Manchester United up next, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Fulham are languishing at the foot of the table without a solitary point to their name come the first international break of the season.

Former Real Madrid boss Arbeloa could be inclined to make a couple of changes as he looks to end his side's barren run with a shock win at Anfield.

Sander Berge could be recalled should the head coach opt to air on the side of caution and attempt to strengthen up his the defensive capabilities of his side, whilst all three of Manuel Angel, David Affengruber and Hugo Larsson will all hope to come into consideration after recovering from injury.

Liverpool boss Iraola meanwhile is sweating on the fitness of big money summer acquisition Bradley Barcola after he was withdrawn in the second half of his side's continental win over Atleti, whilst Milos Kerkez is another to have been forced out of the action.

Cody Gakpo missed the midweek triumph and is likely to be absent once more, whilst Conor Bradley, Giovannia Leoni and Hugo Ekitike are also still on the treatment table.

Predicted Liverpool team

Alisson; Araujo, Jacquet, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Munoz, Wirtz, Ngumoha; Isak.

Predicted Fulham team

Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Charles; Bobb, King, Palacios; Garcia.
