Take a look at where Liam Delap might by plying his trade next season following reports Chelsea are looking to move the forward on.
After an impressive debut Premier League campaign with Ipswich Town in which he scored 12 goals, Delap's £30m release clause was activated by Chelsea.
Chelsea had already sent Nicolas Jackson on loan to Bayern Munich, and the signing of Joao Pedro meant Delap was set to be deployed as a back-up centre forward. Delap missed two months of the season with a hamstring injury but made little impact in his 28 Premier League appearances, scoring just one goal, and a departure from Stamford Bridge seems to be on the cards.
A young, English striker reaching double figures for goals in his debut Premier League season would likely have commanded a fee in excess of the £30m Chelsea paid 12 months ago, and reports suggest the Blues will let Delap leave for around £40m.
We look at where the 23-year-old may be heading ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Nottingham Forest
After Morgan Gibbs-White with 15 goals, no Nottingham Forest player scored more than Igor Jesus's six goals last term, and with the advancing years of Chris Wood, the Tricky Trees could do with more firepower up top.
Oliver Glasner utilised the physical Jean-Philippe Mateta to great effect with Crystal Palace, and he may be looking for a similar presence in Delap.
Everton
Despite a very respectable record of around 0.5 Premier League goals per 90 over the last two seasons, Beto has never quite looked capable of leading the line for Everton, with 56 of his 97 Premier League appearances coming from the bench, while Thierno Barry lost his place in the starting XI towards the end of the season.
Everton haven't had a forward score more than 10 Premier League goals since Dominic Calvert-Lewin netted 16 in the 2020/21 season, and while Delap might not be the clinical goalscorer needed at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, he could be an option as they look to add strength in depth.
Leeds United
Many expected Leeds United to be battling relegation for much of last season, but a run of just four defeats from December until the penultimate game of the season saw Daniel Farke's men comfortably avoid the drop.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin recaptured his best form with 14 goals for Leeds last season, and while Lukas Nmecha provided decent back-up, Delap would provide stiffer competition for Calvert-Lewin.
Manchester United
Manchester United's interest in Liam Delap was well documented a year ago, with the young forward ultimately choosing Chelsea. United are still looking to move Joshua Zirkzee on, meaning they could use more depth up top ahead of their European campaign.
While Delap wouldn't add much to the starting XI, he could be a useful squad option should the Red Devils revive their interest.
