We take a look at the last 10 different winners of the Europa League ahead of Aston Villa's 2025/26 final clash with Freiburg.

The Villains are hoping to become the second English side in as many years to lift the trophy, following in the footsteps of Tottenham Hotspur who defeated Manchester United in Bilbao last season.

Should Villa get the better of Freiburg, then they will become the fourth English team within the last nine years to win the Europa League after Jose Mourinho's Man United side beat Ajax in 2016/17 and Chelsea's all-English final victory over Arsenal in 2018/19.

Spanish outfits have tended to dominate this competition in recent years, winning it nine times since 2009/10.

This is largely down to Sevilla. Los Nervionenses landed an unprecedented hat-trick in the mid-2010s, beating Benfica, Dnipro and Liverpool in consecutive years.

Further successes over Inter Milan and Roma in 2019/20 and 2022/23 respectively take their tally to Europa League trophy-haul to five across the last 13 years.
