Key Sheffield United player linked with Championship rivals

Sheffield United are reportedly facing a fight to keep hold of attacking midfielder Callum O'Hare following interest from Wrexham.

The Star have reported that the club are bracing themselves for an offer ahead of the transfer window shutting on Tuesday night.

O'Hare's importance to the United team has increased this season following the departure of Gus Hamer to Coventry City.

With the Blades seemingly limited to loans and free transfers in the current window, a sizeable offer for O'Hare could be difficult to turn down if they are able to find a cost-effective replacement.

O'Hare moved to Bramall Lane in the summer of 2024 following an impressive four-year spell at Coventry City.

He has made 97 appearances for Chris Wilder's side and has scored 13 goals in the process.

His performances have caught the eye of Wrexham who are still looking to acquire an attacking mdifielder before the window shuts.

Czech midfielder Pavel Sulc and Ipswich Town's Anis Mehmeti have both been linked with a move, but it seems that the club could now pursue a deal for O'Hare.

Wrexham return to action at Millwall on Wednesday, while Sheffield United will have to juggle any transfer business around their home game with Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday.
