Joey Essex vs Dapper Laughs Betting Odds: Former TOWIE star narrow favourite ahead of Misfits return
Two of Misfits biggest celebrity boxers will trade leather at London's Copper Box Arena on Saturday night.
Former TOWIE star Joey Essex returns to the promotion to undertake his second fight following a narrow points victory over Portuguese influencer Numeiro last year.
Standing in the opposite corner this time around will be Britain's first major Vine star, Dapper Laughs, who himself heads into the clash boasting an unblemished record.
Dapper, whose birth name is Daniel O'Reilly, rose to fame after amassing 600,000 followers on the social media platform, producing a series of short video clips focussed on "lad culture" and "banter".
He turned to boxing for the first time in 2023 and produced a barnstorming stoppage to see off fellow social media influencer Simple Simon midway through the first round.
However, given he heads into the fight as the 6/4 outsider, it's expected that Essex will provide far sterner opposition.
Whilst the reality TV star may not pack the biggest of punches, he does possess some form of boxing pedigree having been trained by his uncle, and highly-regarded professional trainer, Tony Sims at the Matchroom Gym.
The 36-year-old, who has also featured on Love Island, hails from a rich boxing heritage, with both his father and grandfather having fought competitively in the past.
Whilst there wasn't an enormous amount to take from his courageous victory over Numeiro on debut, the very fact that he is working under the tutelage of Sims could be enough in itself to justify his 1/2 favouritsm.
