The crossover boxing world is bracing for yet more chaos this weekend as reality television star Joey Essex squares off against comedian Dapper Laughs.
Headlining a stacked Misfits Boxing card at London's Copper Box Arena on Saturday 10th October, the two fighters will put their unbeaten records on the line in what promises to be an absorbing bill-topping affair.
Essex, who rose to fame on the hit television show 'The Only Way is Essex' has been fine-tuning his skills under elite boxing coach Tony Sims as he seeks to record a second consecutive victory under the Misfits Boxing banner.
However, Daniel O’Reilly -- more commonly know as Dapper Laughs -- has vowed another early finish after marking his debut with a devastating one-minute knockout success against Simple Simon three years ago.
The action, which also features a undercard, takes place on Saturday night, however before then, crossover boxing fans have all the drama of fight week to look forward to.
Fight week officially gets underway when the two fighters come face-to-face for the first time on Wednesday 8th October.
Whilst the face-offs event won't be shown live on television, there will be a live audience in attendance at the Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel, with proceedings getting underway from 17:00 (BST).
Both Joey Essex and Dapper Laughs have made it clear that they are confident of victory, and you can expect plenty of verbal assaults when the pair undertake their final press conference on Thursday.
The event, which is also being staged at the Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel, will feature every fight on the bumper bill and is being streamed live on the official MFB (Misfits Boxing) You Tube channel from 17:00 (BST).
The public weigh-in on Friday will allow fans and media to get one last look at the two men before they make their way to the ring the following evening.
Whilst the official weigh-in will take place earlier in the day, behind closed doors, Joey Essex and Dapper Laughs, together with all 14 other fighters set to feature on the bill, will then undertake a ceremonial weigh-in around 24 hours prior to the fight, which also be streamed live on YouTube at 17:00 (BST).
Both fighters will have to adhere to a strict 147lbs welterweight limit, with the fight likely to be in jeopardy if any of the pair tilt the scales any higher than that.
All the fight week festivities come down to Saturday night when Joey Essex and Dapper Laughs finally trade leather inside the ring at London's Copper Box Arena.
The bout is expected to take place over four two-minute rounds, and both fighters will be required to wear standard 10oz gloves.
While the exact start time will be dependent on the length of the undercard bouts, the main event fighters are expected to make their way to the ring around 23:00 (BST).
Fight fans are invited to attend the full fight week schedule, with free entry being granted to anybody wishing to take in the events on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday -- all of which are being staged at Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel in Canary Wharf, London.
