Jarell Quansah is reportedly attracting interest from a number of clubs from across Europe.
The Bayer Leverkusen defender has excelled since making the switch to Germany from Liverpool in 2025 and his exploits in the Bundesliga have earned the recognition of England boss Thomas Tuchel, who named Quansah in his England squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Quansah's stock has naturally risen since his switch to the BayArena, and Leverkusen will want significantly more than the £35million they shelled out to sign the 23-year-old last summer.
Amid reports from Germany that a queue of clubs are chasing Quansah, we assess where he could head next.
Liverpool's sale of Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen wasn't without some form of insurance, and the Reds reportedly have a buy-back clause inserted in the deal, along with the option to match any bid from a rival club.
It should put Liverpool in the driving seat to re-sign Quansah, and a report from Sky Germany indicates the Merseyside outfit are keen to reunite with their academy product.
The Reds were noticeably light in the centre-back department last season. They bolstered their central defensive options in the summer with the signing of Jeremy Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni is on the verge of a return from an anterior cruciate ligament injury, but Virgil van Dijk is not getting any younger and Quansah's versatility could be a huge asset.
Chelsea made enquiries into the availability of Quansah during the summer and retain a strong interest in the England international.
The Blues' defensive frailties have been evident under Xabi Alonso this term having conceded 12 goals in five matches, and despite having plenty of stock at centre-back, it remains one key area Chelsea need to address in the transfer window - especially with Alonso's insistence on deploying a back three.
Quansah will no doubt receive a glowing endorsement from Alonso's former employers, and Chelsea have the financial muscle to oust rival clubs if a bidding war develops.
Arsenal held discussions with Leverkusen over a deal for Quansah in the summer and BILD claimed the Gunners had a £55m bid rejected.
Mikel Arteta's outfit was subsequently bolstered with the arrival of Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa, and yet reports insist Arsenal retain a strong interest in Quansah.
The reigning Premier League champions boast a formidable defensive unit. However, there is uncertainty over the long-term future of Ben White, whose contract expires in 2028. Quansah ticks the box of being able to operate at right-back and fills the homegrown quota.
German publication BILD have also credited Real Madrid as a potential suitor for Quansah.
Antonio Rudiger isn't getting any younger and Los Blancos are eager to futureproof their central defensive options.
A move for Quansah could see him reunite with his former Liverpool team-mate Ibrahima Konate, who made the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.
