1983 World Darts Champion Keith Deller MBE has assembled a 13/2 Bet Builder for the World Series of Darts Finals first round match between James Wade and Damon Heta.
The 2026 World Series of Darts Finals commenced on Thursday night, with reigning champion Michael van Gerwen exiting the competition to Daryl Gurney in the first round.
Tonight's action is headlined by Luke Littler's match against Danny Noppert, but before that we have a tantalising meeting between James Wade and Damon Heta, who both arrive in Amsterdam in good form.
Wade prevailed 7-4 in the semi-finals of the Flanders Darts Trophy last week and Deller is expecting the Machine to get another victory over the Australian this evening...
It's a repeat of the Flanders Darts Trophy semi-final in Antwerp last week after Wade toppled Heta 7-4 in the semi-finals before going on to lift his first European Tour title since 2016 with an 8-4 triumph over fellow Englishman Ross Smith.
The four-time World Championship semi-finalist is full of confidence at the moment and he's playing with a swagger where he knows he's going to win.
Heta is also playing well, and he produced a brilliant 129 against Nathan Aspinall in the quarter-finals in Antwerp when the Asp was sitting on a double to prevail 6-5.
However, the Australian was guilty of missing a few doubles, and Wade was far more clinical as he cruised to a comfortable victory.
I think confidence will be the biggest factor here, which is why I'm backing Wade to win. I do think Heta will push him close, which is why I like the look of over 9.5 legs.
Wade produced 19 180s in five matches on his path to Flanders Darts Trophy glory and so I fancy the pair to deliver at least five 180s in the match, and to complete my Bet Builder I'm adding Wade to record the highest checkout.
