Jake Paul is in talks to make his long-awaited return to boxing on Christmas Eve, with former UFC star Darren Till one of several potential opponents under consideration.
Paul hasn't fought since he suffered his first KO loss at the hands of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in December.
The social media star turned boxer suffered a broken jaw in the defeat but has recently been cleared to return to competition and is in talks to make his return on Christmas Eve.
Tommy Fury appears to be an obvious choice of opponent given his and Paul's history, with the pair recently trading barbs once again on social media over a potential rematch.
However, 'TNT' is currently in talks for a fight of his own before the end of the year and is reportedly not among the names in line to fight the polarising American.
Speaking this week Paul's manager and business partner Nakisa Bidarian revealed that they have been talks with former UFC title challenger Till over a potential 24 December clash.
"Darren Till is definitely one of the names that Jake put out there on his list and is definitely one of the names that we’ve been speaking to," Bidarian told Sunsport.
"The date and time and location depends on how quickly I can get the opponent done and the distribution of the fight appropriately figured out based on that opponent.
"So, if it takes another three, four, five weeks to figure this out, there’s no fighting this year; it’s probably early next year.
"If we figure it out in the next 24 hours, we’ll hopefully get a fight in this year. But I can’t tell you today if it’s one or the other. But we’re trying our best to get it done."
Since leaving the UFC in 2022 with a promotional record of 6-5-1, Till has gone from strength to strength away from mixed martial arts.
After embarking on an undefeated run in crossover boxing that saw him capture the inaugural Misfits bridgerweight title, Till moved into bare-knuckle boxing and signed a multi-fight contract with BKFC.
Last month Till fought his second bout under the BKFC banner, scoring a decision win over fellow UFC veteran Yoel Romero at the AO Arena in Manchester.
