J League: Format

For the first time since 2021, the number of the clubs in the league increased from 18 to 20. This meant that only one team, Yokohama FC, were relegated to J2 League last campaign.

At the end of the season, three clubs will be relegated to J2 League for the 2025 season. There won't be relegation play-offs between J1 and J2 teams.

After 38 games, the standings will be confirmed, with top spot being crowned champions.
