Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru are the narrow favourites to defend their title as they prepare to face Gujarat Titans in the 2026 IPL Final this weekend.
The two teams met in Qualifier 1 of this season's IPL on Tuesday as Royal Challengers Bengaluru comfortably booked their place in the final with a 92-run victory.
Gujarat had the safety net of Qualifier 2 to fall back on and they joined RCB courtesy an impressive win against Rajasthan Royals on Friday.
After being set an imposing target of 215 from their 20 overs, Gujarat were able to secure victory with eight balls to spare as a Shubman Gill century inspired a seven-wicket triumph.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru finished narrowly ahead of Gujarat Titans with a slightly superior run rate and whilst they are the favourites to win the final, there is not much to separate the two teams.
RCB won the IPL for the first time in 2025 after three previous final defeats.
Their opponents Gujarat have also won the competition once before in 2022, while they lost in the final the following year.
This weekend's winners will move one behind Kolkata Knight Riders who have won the IPL three times, while Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians remain out in front with five wins apiece.
