I am Maximus backed to win Grand National by Facebook followers

bet365's Facebook followers are backing I Am Maximus to win the Grand National for a second time.

The Willie Mullins-trained horse is the top weight for this year's race and he famously won the 2024 Grand National at Aintree.

He is the favourite in the betting ahead of this year's renewal, with the likes of Grangeclare West, Jagwar and Haiti Couleurs also amongst the main contenders.

We asked our Facebook audience to select their winner of this year's race and I Am Maximus was the most backed horse.

I Am Maximus secured 28% of the vote despite not tasting victory since his emphatic performance in April 2024.

Irish National winner Haiti Couleurs was the second most popular Grand National horse and connections will be hoping that he can improve on his Gold Cup performance where he was eventually pulled up.

Grangeclare West and Jagwar are both prominent in the betting but they were less popular amongst the bet365 Facebook followers.
