Hull City are reportedly looking to complete a deal to sign Axel Tuanzebe this summer.
Tuanzebe has recently been part of DR Congo's squad at the 2026 World Cup prior to their elimination against England at the Round of 32 stage.
The 28-year-old was a commanding presence throughout as DR Congo threatened a seismic shock against the Three Lions.
His efforts were ultimately in vain as Harry Kane's second-half brace completed a turnaround for Thomas Tuchel's side.
Journalist Mike McGrath has reported that Premier League newcomers Hull are looking to acquire the player on a free transfer.
Tuanzebe's current deal at Burnley has expired and the Tigers have already initiated talks as they attempt to secure his signature.
The centre-back has regularly proved his credentials throughout his career but injuries have prevented him from reaching his ceiling.
After breaking through at Manchester United, Tuanzebe has spent time at the likes of Aston Villa, Napoli, Stoke City and Ipswich Town.
He penned a one-year at Turf Moor last summer and he played 14 matches as the Clarets were relegated from the top-flight.
However, he looks to have been handed a Premier League reprieve and he could prove to be a shrewd acquisition if he can stay fit.
