Huddersfield Town are closing in on the loan signing of midfielder Cameron Humphries from Ipswich Town.
The move will see Humphries rejoin the club following his loan spell at the club last season.
Journalist Pete O'Rourke has reported that a deal has been agreed between the two clubs, with the expectation that the formalities of the season-long loan will be completed.
Humphries made 18 league appearances for the Terriers during the 2025/26 campaign after arriving during the January transfer window.
He has been a long-term target for Huddersfield this summer and manager Martin Drury will be delighted with the acquisition.
The 22-year-old has played 43 games for Ipswich but he is unlikely to feature in the first team following the club's promotion to the Premier League.
Humphries is expected to be in the Huddersfield squad for this weekend's match against Notts County, whilst his new teammates are also in action at home to Oxford United this evening.
Drury's side have made a strong start to the season after picking up seven points from their opening three matches.
