Chelsea get their pre-season preparations underway with a friendly against Western Sydney Wanderers on Tuesday morning.

New manager Xabi Alonso takes charge of the club for the first time following last month's appointment.

Chelsea will also play Tottenham Hotspur as part of their pre-season schedule, before heading to Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia for further friendlies.

Their opening assignment sees them take on a Western Sydney team who finished bottom of the A-League last season.
