Rio de Janeiro outfits Vasco da Gama and Flamengo lock horns in the Brazilian Serie A on Thursday night.
Vasco de Gama hoped to bounce back after a severely underwhelming 14th placed finish last term, but it's been another below par season for the four-time Brazilian Serie A winners, sat 13th in the standings with seven games to go.
Flamengo, on the other hand, are firmly in the mix to win a ninth top-flight honour. They sit at the top of the table via goal difference, and victory on Thursday night would see them go three points clear of title rivals Palmeiras.
