Omonia Nicosia and Benfica both head into their Thursday night clash with 100% records in the UEFA Europa League this season.
Cypriot outfit Omonia Nicosia had to go through qualifiers to earn their place in the league stage, but have taken full advantage so far, registering 1-0 and 3-0 successes over Celta Vigo and Celje respectively.
Henning Berg's men, despite sitting third, still remain unbeaten in the league and have won five of their last seven in all competitions.
On paper, Benfica is set to be their toughest so far in 2026/27, with As Águias in similarly ruthless form. Although they were beaten 3-1 by bitter rivals Porto, a dominant display against AC Milan last time out in Europe will give them plenty of confidence as they travel to Cyprus.
