Novak Djokovic commences his Paris Masters campaign against Valentin Vacherot on Tuesday.
Djokovic knows only a deep run at the Masters 1000 event will suffice as he looks to secure his spot at the season-ending ATP Finals.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion currently sits 11th in the Race to Turin leaderboard, more than 300 points behind Rafael Jodar, who occupies the final qualification berth.
Djokovic is the most decorated player in Paris Masters history with seven titles, but he faces a tough opening match against Vacherot, who comes into the tournament off the back of winning his first trophy of the season in Basel.
