Brisbane continue their bid to reach a fourth consecutive AFL Grand Final, and complete a three-peat, on Saturday morning when they travel to Melbourne to face Hawthorn.
The Melbourne side have spent the last few campaigns rebuilding, and the performance in their win over minor premiers Fremantle Dockers in the last round of the finals seriously underlined their credentials.
Sam Mitchell's side have a chance to signal a changing of the guard in the AFL by putting five-time champions Brisbane to the sword.
That is easier said than done though, as the Lions are one of the most dominant forces in the leagues history.
Chris Fagan's men have experienced it all before, this is their fifth consecutive preliminary final, and the third time on the bounce they will play this round at the MCG in the Saturday afternoon slot -- the previous two of course leading to back-to-back Grand Finals and flags.
Hawthorn v Brisbane Lions is being broadcast live in the UK on TNT Sports 1.
Live streaming of the preliminary final clash will also be available via HBO Max and Watch AFL.
Hawthorn v Brisbane Lions will be played at the MCG in Melbourne and will get underway at 08:15 (BST) on Saturday 19th September.
This will see the players take to the field at 17:15 down under (AEST).
