Fremantle and Brisbane Lions are preparing to face off in Saturday's showpiece, with both teams looking to make history in vastly different ways.
The Dockers have never won an AFL Grand Final, in fact they have only ever played in one before back in 2013 -- falling at the final stage against Hawthorn.
They were the best team in the regular season, crowned Minor Premiers by topping the standings, and they brought that form into the finals.
Following their preliminary final win over Sydney Swans, the city erupted into a sea of purple as fans celebrated long into the night, dreaming of a maiden flag.
Standing in their way on this occasion, the fearsome Brisbane Lions.
They need no introductions, Chris Fagan's men are the reigning back-to-back flag winners.
They have contested the last three finals and could become the third team to win a threepeat since the league rebrand in 1990 -- after themselves between 2001-2003 and Hawthorn between 2013-2015.

Fremantle v Brisbane Lions will be played at the MCG in Melbourne and will get underway at 05:30 (BST) on Saturday 26th September.
This will see the players take to the field at 14:30 down under (AEST).
