The opening weekend of the Championship will feature a mouth-watering Lancashire Derby when Preston travel to Bolton on Saturday.
Wanderers return to England's second tier for the first time in seven years, having been relegated in 2018/19. Their successful campaign culminating in a 4-1 drubbing of Stockport County in the League One play-off final at Wembley in May.
Preston started last season fairly strongly but tailed off midway through to finish 14th, an unfortunate reflection of their last five years or so in the Championship.
