Alfred Johansson gets the chance to see his new team in action as Motherwell take on Danish champions AGF Aarhus on Sunday afternoon.
The 35-year-old has taken over from Jens Berthel Askou after the Dane opted to move to Ligue 1 side Toulouse.
Askou led Motherwell to a fourth-placed finish in the Scottish Premiership last season and Johansson has been tasked with picking up the baton and ensuring another positive campaign.
Motherwell's season officially gets underway later this month when they take on Havnar Bóltfelag of the Faroe Islands in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
This weekend's opponents secured their first Danish league title last season and they will provide a tough test for Motherwell's opening pre-season friendly.
