Anticipation is building for the greatest show on Earth as the United States, Canada and Mexico prepare to host the 2026 World Cup.
16 cities across the three countries will host the action and millions of fans will be clamouring for a ticket as 48 nations compete in the expanded tournament.
We've taken a look at how you can acquire tickets for the World Cup.
Official 2026 World Cup tickets will be available to purchase via FIFA.com/tickets.
World Cup ticket sales officially commenced with Phase 1, the Visa Presale Draw, which ran from 10th September to 19th September 2025 and was available exclusively to Visa cardholders who were selected through a lottery system.
Over a million tickets were released in Phase 1, while Phase 2 - labelled the Early Ticket Draw - ran from 27th October to 31st October 2025, where applicants were randomly selected to purchase tickets in a designated period using the FIFA ticket portal.
The FIFA Resale/Exchange Marketplace, which provides an official and secure way to resell/exchange your FIFA World Cup tickets, is set to reopen on 15th December 2025 at 17:00 GMT.
Upon completion of the World Cup draw, a Random Selection Draw will take place where fans will be able to submit applications for specific matches.
Then closer to the tournament, any remaining tickets will be available to purchase on a first come, first served basis in the Last-Minute Sales Phase. This final phase of ticketing launched on 1 April and availability is now scarce.
Those wishing to purchase tickets in the official England section will need to be a member of the England Supporters Travel Club, while members of the Scotland Supporter Club will be given priority for any Scotland allocation in line with their loyalty points system.
For England supporters, the FA will be staging a registration window after the World Cup draw where members can declare their interest in particular matches. Should a match or category be oversubscribed, then a ballot will be held to decide who will be successful for tickets.
Members of the SSC had from Thursday 11th December until Tuesday 13th January to apply for tickets.
Tickets for the FIFA World Cup have been divided into four categories, with the cheapest found in the Category 4 section.
Ticket prices for group stage matches start from as little as $60, while the most expensive ticket in the tournament is for the final, with a Category 1 seat to set you back $6,730.
