Alisson Becker is set to be be out of action for Liverpool until the end of April with a suspected muscle injury.
Arne Slot provided an update on the Brazilian in a press conference prior to the Reds' FA Cup quarter-final clash with Manchester City. He said: "Yeah, he will not be part of the PSG game either, (he'll be) out for a bit longer. Towards the end of the season we expect him to be fit."
The setback marks Alisson's fourth injury of the 2025/26 season, with backup stopper Giorgi Mamardashvili set for a stint in between the sticks.
There's no denying that Alisson Becker is amongst the best goalkeepers to grace the Premier League, but his injury record leaves much to be desired.
While he enjoyed an injury-free 2018/19 debut campaign for the Reds, playing all 38 Premier League games and featuring in 13 UEFA Champions League contests, injuries crept into his game in Liverpool's 2019/20 Premier League winning term, missing a total of 18 contests for club and country.
The Brazilian only missed one game across the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons, but he has since picked up 11 different injuries or illnesses. This takes Alisson's games missed tally to 87 since the start of the 2019/20 term.
