The run of Princess Chloe in a claimer at Gowran Park last time was a little underwhelming, but she'd caught the eye at the same track previously and warrants another chance, having since joined John McConnell from Daniel James Murphy.
The three-year-old filly, who was unplaced in four AW starts at Dundalk at the beginning of her career, has improved considerably for the switch to turf this year.
She found one too good at odds of 28/1 over 6.5f at Limerick before finishing a never-nearer fourth of 14 at Gowran Park, when she found herself too far back after suffering early interference.
She's now down to 58 and looks a big player from stall 22 with experienced apprentice Siobhan Rutledge aboard for the first time.
19:00 Kempton - Enchanted Queen @ 8/11
Enchanted Queen proved expensive to follow for Charlie Appleby last season as a juvenile, suffering defeats at odds of 5/4, 4/7 and 6/4 in maiden/novice company.
However, the daughter of Ghaiyyath ended 2025 with her best performance, running to a Racing Post Rating of 80 when beaten just half-a-length by the now 90-rated Lady Roisia at Nottingham in October, the first two pulling clear of subsequent Yarmouth winner Harriet Quimby.
She's since been sold for £180,000 and has joined George Boughey, who, barring a recent poor run, has enjoyed an excellent campaign and has an overall strike rate of 18 per cent for the year.
Fitness has to be taken on trust following a 342-day absence, but she's the pick on form and ratings and has Billy Loughnane in the saddle for this Kempton outing.
19:30 Kempton - Upsomdowns @ 22/1
The Pat Phelan-trained Upsomdowns reportedly found the good to firm ground too lively when running poorly on his seasonal reappearance at Windsor in May and has been off since, presumably held back for an autumn campaign.
The three-year-old showed some useful bits of form on the artificial surfaces last year and looks worthy of a small interest in an open race off a mark of 66, 2lb lower than when finishing second on his handicap at Lingfield in January.
Breeding suggests he'll not come into his own until tackling middle distances, but he finished just outside of the places at odds of 125/1 over this course-and-distance in maiden company last October, a repeat of which would put him firmly in the mix.
