The Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe is arguably the most prestigious all-aged horse race in the world and is the richest in Europe.

The Arc, as it is more popularly known, takes place at Longchamp Racecourse in Paris, France, usually on the first Sunday in October.

Comrade emerged as the winner of the inaugural event in 1920, with the winner's prize standing at 150,000 francs.

The current €5,000,000 winner's prize makes the race the fourth richest in the world behind The Saudi Cup, The Dubai World Cup and The Everest, with the most recent Arc won by Alpinista in 2022.
