It is Caulfield Cup weekend in Melbourne, with the Caulfield Cup being the feature Group 1 on the card. There is further Group 1 racing in the Thousand Guineas, and it should be a great weekend of racing.
Racing Post handicapper and tipster Jonny Pearson is on hand to talk you through his best bets, including a selection for the feature race itself.

Our first selection comes in the first Group 1 on the card, the Thousand Guineas, and it looks set up to be a cracker.
Saintly Dancer was an emphatic winner of a Group 2 at Flemington when last seen, which is arguably the strongest form on offer in the race, and a performance which makes her the one to beat.
She looks to have all the right attributes, and although it was heavy ground on her last run, she has no problem on a quicker surface and if turning up in a similar vein of form, she looks to have a great chance of winning at the highest level.
Jockey Blake Shinn won the race last year and Ciaron Maher trained the winner of the race two years ago, which also represents a combination to help Saintly Sancer reap the rewards of their experience in the contest.
07:15 Caulfield - Zahrann @ 7/1
This is the big one, the Caulfield Cup, and a race that can have huge ramifications for a couple of weeks time when the Melbourne Cup comes around.
As is to be expected it looks like an incredibly competitive affair and our selection for the race is Zahrann. The former Johnny Murtagh-trained gelding has been in fair form, with a win at this course two starts back. He disappointed at Flemington when last seen but a line can be drawn through that.
The extra two furlongs now, along with the quicker ground he will encounter versus last time, are sure to play to his strengths and provided he has a good passage round, he can further enhance his claims for the Melbourne Cup with a victory.
There is plenty of UK and Irish interest in this race too with Harry Charlton, Roger Varian and Joseph O’Brien all with runners, but their horses will have to be very good to get the better of Zahrann.
