As female snooker players continue to make waves on the WST, we take a look at whether any women have ever featured in the sport's showpiece competition, the World Snooker Championship.
When Fallon Sherrock smashed through the glass ceiling by becoming the first female to win a match on darts' fabled Alexandra Palace stage, it led to many questioning when a woman would make the big breakthrough in professional snooker.
In the years since then, we've seen plenty of female stars recording victories over male opponents, with the likes of Reanne Evans, Ng On-yee and Bai Yulu all notching famous triumphs.
However, as of yet, none have managed to break the mould and secure a coveted spot at the Crucible for the World Snooker Championship.
All three of the previously mentioned Women's Tour stars have featured in qualifying matches for the annual showpiece, but neither have managed to successfully navigate their way through the four rounds of arduous qualifying to book their ticket to Sheffield.
Esteemed 12 time Women's World Champion Evans was the most recent woman to win a match in World Snooker Championship qualifying back in 2017 when she beat Robin Hull 10-7.
Prior to then, Karen Corr, Ann-Marie Farren, Allison Fisher and Stacey Hillyard had all registered qualifying victories.
