The deal for Harrison Armstrong to join Nottingham Forest from Everton is reportedly off.
Journalist John Percy has reported that Everton have pulled the plug on a deal after initially accepting a £35 million offer from Forest.
Armstrong had been given permission to travel to the East Midlands for talks with the club.
However, the move appears to be off following the reaction of Everton's supporters to the potential transfer.
Armstrong was seranaded by fans both during and after Everton's 1-1 draw at Bournemouth on Saturday.
His name was sung loudly on the south coast following a bright start to the new season.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Preston North End in the Championship last season, before being recalled by Everton in January.
Injuries have seen Armstrong start the new campaign in the Everton first-team and Toffees supporters will be hoping that the youngster can now become a mainstay on Merseyside.
