Everton are reportedly switching their attention to Aston Villa's Matty Cash, as they look to sign a right back this summer.
Cash, 29, has been a stalwart of Aston Villa's rise from Premier League relegation battlers to European regulars and played a key role in the Villans' UEFA Europa League victory last campaign.
A product of Nottingham Forest's academy, Cash joined Aston Villa in 2020 for an initial fee of around £14m, becoming a fan favourite for his physical style of play and willingness to bomb down the wings.
Throughout his time in the West Midlands, during which he has made 230 appearances for the club, Cash has had inconsistent form, though he did have his best season in a Villa shirt in 2025/26.
With Aaron Wan-Bissaka set to join the Villans on loan with a conditional obligation to buy, Cash will face proper competition for his position for the first time this season.
As a result, there are likely to be suitors for Cash's signature this summer and, according to Alan Nixon via his patroen, Everton are set to turn their interest to the Poland international in their hunt for a new right back.
The Toffees have been linked with a number of full backs this summer, with no current natural right back at the club, most recently being linked to Barcelona's Hector Fort.
Despite this, Nixon reports that Cash is David Moyes' favoured choice for that position, with the 29-year-old said to be available for around £20m this summer.
Everton have also been linked with a move for Crystal Palace's Daniel Munoz, though Moyes reportedly views Cash as more of a specialist in that position, with the Colombian seen as more of a wing back than a natural right back.
It remains to be seen whether or not Villa or Cash would be open to this move taking place, but securing this signing would be a major coup for Moyes' Toffees.
