There are only four events left on the PGA Tour schedule for 2026 and some of the world's best players head to The Norman Signature Course at Vidanta Vallarta for the Mexico Open.
The event has featured on five different tours over the years, but there have only been four editions of the current tournament.
Jon Rahm, Tony Finau, Jake Knapp and Brian Campbell have won the event since it was moved to Vidanta Vallarta in 2022, and Finau and Campbell will return to get their hands on the trophy for a second time.
The field is led by Wyndham Clark at 10/1, with the American looking to continue his fine year, which has seen him win three times on the PGA Tour.
Best Bet - Doug Ghim to win and each-way @ 25/1
Alternative Bet - Tom Kim to win and each-way @ 18/1
Alternative Bet - Johnny Keefer to win and each-way @ 20/1
Best Bet: Doug Ghim to win and each-way @ 25/1
The course at Vidanta Vallarta is a long, flat track with wide fairways. In a nutshell, it rewards big hitters as there is very little rough to contend with.
In the last four editions, all four winners were in the top 35 on the PGA Tour for strokes gained off the tee and Doug Ghim sits sixth on the tour in that department.
The American has never won on the PGA Tour, but he arrives in fine form. He has finished in the top-20 in five consecutive appearances, starting with a T15 finish at the Rocket Classic.
Ghim finished second at the Bank of Utah Championship recently, finishing on 24-under par. His ability to score well was on show there and his form off the tee is very hard to ignore.
He is fifth off the tee on the PGA Tour and is ranked 22nd around the green, while he also finished eighth in this event in 2024.
Ghim's recent form suggests he is closer than ever to his first PGA Tour victory, and in a fairly weak field this week, he can get off the mark.
Alternative Bet: Tom Kim to win and each-way @ 18/1
South Korea's Tom Kim will still be on a high, having won gold at the Asian Games earlier this month.
Kim was last seen at the Tour Championship, as he also featured at the Presidents Cup. While he could not stop the International team from losing, Kim was in fine form at Medinah Country Club.
He won four of the International team's 13 points, which was the best return of any player involved at the Presidents Cup.
Kim is 18th on the PGA Tour in the strokes gained tee-to-green category, while he is seventh in the strokes gained approach to green.
The world number 30 has finished inside the top 30 in five consecutive appearances on the PGA Tour and while he will play this event for the first time, his ability to get to the green quickly should stand him in good stead.
Alternative Bet: Johnny Keefer to win and each-way @ 20/1
Johnny Keefer is another debutant heading to Mexico this week and he looks like he can go close once again.
Keefer's last three finishes read T33, T10 and T7 on the PGA Tour, while he has recorded three top-10 finishes over his last 10 appearances.
The American ranks 12th on the Tour in Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee with a 0.549 average in 2026,
He is fifth on the Tour for Greens in Regulation percentage and while his putting needs to sharpen up this week, he has every chance of putting himself in some favourable positions.
This will be the fifth edition of the Mexico Open at Vidanta Vallarta
A score of 17-under par has been needed to win the event in all four editions
Tony Finau's win in 2023 with a score of 24-under par is the record score
A par 71 measuring 7,337 yards featuring four par-fives, nine par-fours and five par-threes
Brian Campbell is the defending champion after beating Aldrich Potgieter in a play-off in 2025
