British Masters Prediction and Tips

The DP World Tour’s ‘Back 9’ begins with this week’s British Masters, which will be taking place at The Belfry for the sixth year in a row.

Scotland’s Scott Jamieson claimed the spoils at the Nexo Championship on Sunday - his first title since the 2012 Nelson Mandela Championship - and he is 125/1 to follow up with another win.

A strong field has assembled for the British Masters, headlined by 14/1 Tyrrell Hatton, who is expected to leave LIV Golf and return to the DP World Tour full-time for the 2027 season.

Alex Noren won this tournament for the second time last year, holding off Nicolai Hojgaard and Kazuma Kobori by one stroke to add to his 2016 triumph at The Grove.

The Belfry’s iconic Brabazon Course is a par 72 measuring 7,363 yards and this will be the ninth time it has staged this event, having done so from 2006-08 and 2021 onwards.

British Masters Tips Summary

Best Bet - Tyrrell Hatton to win and each-way @ 14/1
Alternative Bet - Keita Nakajima to win and each-way @ 22/1
Alternative Bet - Andy Sullivan to win and each-way @ 40/1

British Masters Prediction

Best Bet: Tyrrell Hatton to win and each-way @ 14/1

In what is expected to be his final season with LIV Golf, Hatton finished the 2026 campaign in fifth position in the Individual standings.

The Englishman picked up one LIV title this year at the tough Valderrama, securing a two-shot win over Legion XIII teammate Jon Rahm.

Hatton was second at the JCB Golf and Country Club in July, finishing six strokes behind runaway leader Lucas Herbert.

The 34-year-old will be eager to make his mark on the European circuit ahead of an expected full-time return next year, and a win this week would do just that.

Hatton, who is one of the best putters in the game, recorded a top-20 finish on his last trip to The Belfry in 2024 and his quality ball striking can aid his cause this week.

Alternative Bet: Keita Nakajima to win and each-way @ 22/1

After finishing tied 33rd on his Belfry debut in 2024, Keita Nakajima came close to landing this title 12 months later when ending up fourth, three shots behind Noren.

The Japanese’s consistent performances on the DP World Tour in 2025 earned him a PGA Tour card for 2026 and he has put in some solid displays, notably finishing tied 13th at the Myrtle Beach Classic and registering top 20s at the Canadian Open and Rocket Classic.

Nakajima has played in two DP World Tour events this year and he has impressed in both, finishing tied third at the Scottish Open and tied fourth at last week’s Nexo Championship.

Ranking eighth in driving accuracy on the European circuit and first in both strokes gained tee to green and greens in regulation, Nakajima is a quality striker of the ball and another bold showing is anticipated.

Alternative Bet: Andy Sullivan to win and each-way @ 40/1

Andy Sullivan started off the season in promising fashion, finishing second at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on his second start and ending up tied third at the Indian Open in March.

The Englishman’s form dipped over the next few months, as he failed to record a top 20 in his next 10 appearances, but he impressed last week when taking third place at the Nexo Championship.

That confidence-boosting performance should serve Sullivan well as he heads to a course he has performed well at over the years.

Sullivan was sixth at The Belfry in 2021, recorded a top 15 in 2023 and was fifth in 2025, four shots adrift of Noren.
