In just his second season in F1, Kimi Antonelli is perched at the summit and on the verge of achieving his maiden Drivers' Championship title.

The Italian has won eight races in the 2026 campaign - five more than his Mercedes team-mate George Russell - and finished on the podium in 14 of the 17 races so far.

Russell is currently second in the standings, but the Briton is closely trailed by his compatriot and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, four-time world champion Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc.

Mercedes' supremacy in 2026 is reflected in the Constructors' Championship as the Silver Arrows boast a lead of over 100 points to Ferrari.
