Valencia v Real Madrid Prediction: 13/8 Los Blancos to pass Mestalla test

Real Madrid's winning streak extended to seven in midweek and now Jose Mourinho's side are on La Liga duty at Valencia on Saturday evening.

Los Blancos know that victory at the Mestalla will guarantee they end up closer to the top two in the table when the weekend is done as leaders Barcelona are in the capital on Sunday to face Atletico Madrid.

Mourinho's side are one of just two in La Liga yet to draw a game this term and they will be confident of dispatching their hosts as Valencia are winless in six home assignments this season.

Valencia v Real Madrid Prediction

Best Bet: Real Madrid to win & Both teams to score @ 13/8

Mourinho's Madrid are on the march. They won 2-1 at the Nou Camp last month to stun Barca and their winning sequence now stands at seven across all competitions.

They did, though, have to come from behind twice at AEK Athens in the UEFA Champions League before emerging 3-2 victors with a stoppage-time strike on Wednesday.

Real have won 10 times since the start of September and both teams have scored in eight of those wins.

They were 2-0 winners here in February but, before that, Valencia had found the net in 14 straight league and cup games against Real Los Blancos at this venue.

Los Che have struggled for goals this season, scoring just eight times in 11 La Liga games, but the sight of Real typically sees Valencia raise their game.

Javier Aguirre's side are fancied to find the net in defeat against a visiting side with two clean sheets in 12 games.

Alternative Bet: Half with most goals: 2nd @ 1/1

Both Madrid goals in their February win here came beyond the 60th minute as they were forced to work to break down the hosts.

Valencia have conceded just two first-half goals in their previous seven La Liga games, but, going into this round of games, no side in Spain's top-flight has conceded more than their five after the 80th minute.

Three of the five goals in Madrid's midweek win in Athens came in the second half, as have nine of the last 12 scored in their La Liga encounters.

Valencia v Real Madrid Bet Builder Tip

  • Real Madrid to win

  • Kylian Mbappe anytime goalscorer

  • Over 3 goals

  • Federico Valverde 1+ shots on target

    Pays 39/10

Real are on a roll and, with Valencia winless at the Mestalla after six games, a victory for the visiting side looks like a solid starting point.

Los Che have demonstrated an ability to cause problems when Madrid come to town, scoring in 14 of the last 15 meetings between the sides at this venue.

Four or more goals has been a winning bet in four of Real's six games, with the other coming up one short. Three of the last six La Liga meetings between these teams have produced four or more goals.

Kylian Mbappe remains in red-hot form, the French ace now with 12 goals in his last 11 outings for Madrid, including hitting the net in the last six. He scored three in the two La Liga meetings with Valencia last season.

Federico Valverde whipped in a stunning stoppage-time winner for Madrid in midweek, having come off the bench after picking up a knock in the win at Barcelona last month. He can fire a shot on target here.
