Sevilla v Valencia Prediction: Rojiblancos primed for 11/10 success

After four successive bottom-half finishes in the Spanish top-flight, Sevilla have made a bright start this season under Luis Garcia Plaza and they have a good opportunity to maintain their momentum when Valencia visit.

Sevilla entered the fifth round of La Liga games sitting sixth in the table with two wins and a draw from four games so far.

Valencia are propping up the rest of the division with just one point and one goal after four games as they make the trip to Andalusia on Friday night.

Sevilla v Valencia Tips Summary

Alternative Bet - Lucas Stassin anytime goalscorer @ 15/8
Bet Builder - Most goals in 2nd half, Under 9 corners, Lucas Stassin 1+ shots on Target & Gabriel Suazo 2+ fouls committed @ 19/2

Sevilla v Valencia

Sevilla v Valencia Prediction

Best Bet: Sevilla to win @ 11/10

Sevilla do not possess a great recent record when it comes to facing Valencia, but Los Nervionenses surely cannot expect to find a more winnable opportunity against their visitors from the east coast.

Carlos Corberan's side are propping up the rest in La Liga, with just a single point and a lone goal scored from four games.

They were hammered 5-0 by Barcelona last weekend and just two teams in Spain's top-flight have had fewer shots on target this season.

Sevilla recorded successive wins over Rayo Vallecano and Athletic Club to start the new term and have since followed a 3-1 home loss against Atletico Madrid by picking up a point at Espanyol despite playing most of the second half with 10 men.

With two red cards in four games, Sevilla must be wary of keeping their discipline, but, if they can manage that, it may not require a goal-fest to sink a misfiring Los Che attack.

Alternative Bet: Lucas Stassin anytime goalscorer @ 15/8

Belgian forward Lucas Stassin joined Sevilla from Saint-Etienne at the start of the month. The 21-year-old has initially signed on loan with a €22.5m option to buy in place next summer.

Stassin hit double figures in successive seasons for the French club, scoring 12 in Ligue 1 in 2024-25 and 11 in the second tier last season despite some injury woes.

He started his Sevilla career in good style as he opened the scoring at Espanyol after coming on as a second-half substitute, but the 10 men were agonisingly denied in stoppage time.

Stassin had looked lively prior to volleying home that opening goal and can find the net in successive La Liga games.

Sevilla v Valencia Bet Builder Tip

  • Most goals in 2nd half

  • Under 9 corners

  • Lucas Stassin 1+ shots on target

  • Gabriel Suazo 2+ fouls committed

    Pays 19/2

Sevilla haven't scored a first-half goal in any of the last four meetings with Valencia at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, last doing so in a 3-1 win in September 2021.

Given Los Che were ripped apart by Barca last weekend, trailing 0-3 after 50 minutes, Corberan will want his side to keep things tighter here and the hosts may require some time to get a possible breakthrough.

Nine of the last 12 goals in league fixtures between these clubs have come after the interval.

Neither side has been prolific at earning corners so far this season. Valencia had eight at home to Real Betis, but otherwise have managed only seven in three games. Sevilla have averaged three per game so far.

Stassin's bright beginning for Sevilla should earn him more game time now and a shot on target is the least he can be expected to serve up.

Gabriel Suazo has nine fouls in four league games already and, while he won all four tackles against Espanyol last week, he might not be as lucky here and appeals for multiple fouls.
