World Cup co-hosts Mexico play their final warm-up game before the major tournament, when they face Serbia in Toluca on Friday.
The European nation failed to qualify for this summer’s extravaganza, having finished third in England's group and missing out on the play-offs.
Serbia will provide useful opponents for Mexico, who have European opponents in the Czech Republic in World Cup 2026 Group A.

Best Bet: Mexico to win to nil @ 5/6
Mexico are unbeaten in seven matches going into this latest international, with just a week to go until their World Cup opener.
Having automatically qualified as a co-host, Javier Aguirre’s men have been playing friendly games since last July, but some of their results have been impressive.
The Central Americans have beaten the likes of Ghana and Bolivia, while also holding Portugal and Belgium to draws.
Something to also note is their defensive strength, having kept clean sheets in six of their last seven matches.
They now face a Serbia team who head to Mexico having just finished a long domestic season and with no summer tournament to look forward to.
Former player Veljko Paunovic was appointed head coach in October last year, but has already overseen three defeats in his first five matches.
That includes a 4-0 defeat to Cape Verde on Sunday, which means Serbia have lost their last three games on the road.
Alternative Bet: Santiago Gimenez anytime goalscorer @ 6/5
Mexico have certainly got plenty of experience in attacking positions, with Aguirre often playing with three forwards.
Fulham's Raul Jimenez still looks like the coach’s first option through the middle, but the former Wolves man has stiff competition from Santiago Gimenez.
The 25-year-old has just enjoyed his first full season at AC Milan and should be fresh for the World Cup after an extended spell on the sidelines.
Gimenez suffered an ankle injury back in October and spent five months out of action, eventually returning for the Serie A giants in March.
With Jimenez now 35, it’s unlikely he will be risked this close to the start of the tournament, so the Milan ace could get his chance to impress and add to his six goals in 47 appearances for his country.
Mexico to win
Under 3 goals
Most goals in first half
Pays 17/2
It’s hard to see Mexico losing on home soil in what is their final warm-up match, especially when you consider Serbia’s recent form.
Six of the last seven Mexico fixtures have seen less than three goals, while the only team Serbia have scored more than two goals against in the last two years, is Albania.
It's worth noting that three of the last four goals scored by the 2026 co-hosts have come before half-time, including the winner in Sunday’s 1-0 win over Australia.
