Lincoln City v West Ham United Prediction: 3/1 Solomon to help Hammers' cause

West Ham United have drawn their last two Championship games but they will be aiming for maximum points against out-of-form Lincoln City at Sincil Bank on Wednesday.

There was a feeling of frustration around the London Stadium on Friday after West Ham drew 1-1 against QPR.

The Hammers missed a golden chance to win the game when Jarrod Bowen’s injury-time penalty was saved by QPR goalkeeper Pierce Charles, but they could have no real complaints about the outcome after an evenly contested game.

Despite the disappointment, West Ham stretched their unbeaten sequence to seven Championship games.

They remain unbeaten on their second-tier travels and are going through a better spell than Lincoln, who have suffered back-to-back defeats.

Lincoln started the season strongly but have slipped into the bottom half after Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Sheffield United.

Lincoln City v West Ham United

Lincoln City v West Ham United Prediction

Best Bet: West Ham -1 on Asian handicap @ 21/20

West Ham were not at their best in the draw against QPR, but they scored multiple goals in each of the previous six fixtures and should ease to a wide margin victory over Lincoln, who are suffering a downturn in fortunes.

Getting out of the Championship might not be a simple process for the Hammers, who have won just four of their opening nine games.

But the Hammers are taking a positive approach into their matches and it is bearing fruit in an attacking sense, with an average of 2.56 goals scored per league game.

Keeping a few more clean sheets could be high on the agenda for head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, who has a reputation for building his teams from solid foundations.

And a West Ham shutout should be achievable against the Imps, who haven’t scored more than once in any of their nine Championship games.

Lincoln have been trying to get onto the front foot in their matches, but their lack of quality was evident during Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Sheffield United.

They were given a lesson in finishing by Chris Wilder’s Blades and are unlikely to fare any better against West Ham, who should ease to a fifth league win of the campaign.

Alternative Bet: Manor Solomon anytime assist @ 3/1

West Ham have a lot of quality in attacking areas, including Israel international winger Manor Solomon, who has a history of excelling in English football’s second tier.

Solomon played a full season of Championship football for Leeds in the 2024/25 campaign and contributed greatly to the Yorkshire side’s promotion with 10 goals and 12 assists.

The 27-year-old has assisted two goals since the start of this season and that tally may be about to increase at Lincoln's expense.

Lincoln City v West Ham United Bet Builder Tip

  • Jarrod Bowen to score anytime

  • Konstantinos Mavropanos 1+ shots on target

  • Over 2 goals

    Pays 6/1

West Ham have a fantastic squad with strength-in-depth in all areas, but their standout player is Bowen, who is determined to help them regain Premier League status at the first attempt.

Bowen has performed at a consistently high level over his six-and-a-half years at the club and shows no sign of losing his appetite for the game.

The 29-year-old tops the Hammers’ scoring charts with five Championship goals and his excellence could be a key factor against the Imps, who are searching for their first home win of the season.

Lincoln will have to deal with multiple threats, including the aerial prowess of West Ham centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos.

The Greek defender has had six attempts on target in eight Championship appearances and he can at least force a save out of Lincoln goalkeeper George Wickens.

There have been at least three goals in six of West Ham’s last seven matches and another high-scoring contest is anticipated.
