Aston Villa are looking forward to taking on Freiburg in the Europa League final, but they still have some important Premier League business to attend to, starting with Sunday’s fixture against Burnley at Turf Moor.
Villa have two ways of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League and their preference is to seal a top-five finish in the Premier League before flying out to Istanbul for their season-defining fixture.
Unai Emery’s side have held a top-five position since the end of November, but they have wobbled in recent months and were well below their best in last Sunday’s 2-1 loss at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
However, Villa rose to the big occasion on Thursday with an outstanding 4-0 triumph at home to Nottingham Forest in their Europa League semi-final second leg and they will be keen to round off the week with a positive result in Lancashire.
Burnley were relegated with four games to spare and are completing their campaign under interim manager Mike Jackson, who was asked to take over from Scott Parker.
Jackson started his stint last Friday with a 3-1 reverse away to Leeds United.
It was another uncompetitive performance from the Clarets, who have lost four of their last five fixtures by more than one goal.

Best Bet: Aston Villa -1 handicap @ 13/8
Aston Villa have been stuttering in their efforts to seal a top-five finish, but they will have taken huge confidence from reaching the Europa League final and can follow up by securing their 18th Premier League win of the season.
Competing across all competitions has been far from straightforward for Villa, who have had to play 26 matches since the turn of the year.
But they looked full of energy in the midweek victory over Forest and should be ready to sweep aside Burnley, who are guaranteed a bottom-two finish.
Burnley’s five-game losing streak is the second longest of their sorry season and it could be extended by Villa, who are worth backing to win by more than one goal.
Alternative Bet: Ollie Watkins to score anytime @ 13/10
The World Cup is fast approaching and Ollie Watkins seems determined to nail down a place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.
Watkins was far from his best in the early months of the season, but he has come to life in recent weeks and gave a superb performance in the midweek trouncing of Forest, scoring the first goal and assisting the third.
Villa will be hoping for a few more big performances from their star centre-forward, who looks a solid wager to contribute against the Clarets.

Morgan Rogers was another of Villa’s star players to deliver in their biggest game of the season.
It has been a solid season for Rogers, who has contributed nine Premier League goals and five assists.
He is the only Villa player to have started all 35 league games and he looked as fit as ever with his livewire midweek performance.
Rogers is as reliable as anyone on Villa’s books and he can come up with a magical moment in a high-scoring game.
Attempts to contain a confident Villa may require illegal methods.
Burnley will need to be strong in the tackle and they may utilise physical midfielder Hannibal Mejbri, who has collected eight yellow cards in 24 Premier League appearances.
