Brazil v Egypt Prediction: 7/2 Pharaohs can hold Selecao

Brazil and Egypt will meet in a friendly at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday as the two nations get set for the World Cup.

Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil finished fifth in South American qualifying, losing a third of their games, but still head into the World Cup as one of the favourites.

Egypt, meanwhile, won eight of their 10 qualifiers to seal their spot in the finals and they welcome back Mohamed Salah for Saturday’s clash.

Brazil v Egypt Tips Summary

Brazil v Egypt

Brazil v Egypt Prediction

Best Bet - Over 2.5 goals @ 13/20

Brazil have scored nine goals in their last two matches, beating Croatia 3-1 in April before claiming a 6-2 victory over Panama at the end of May.

Ancelotti has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to attacking talent, boasting the likes of Vinicius Junior, Raphinha, Neymar, Igor Thiago and Endrick.

Five of Brazil’s last seven matches have featured three or more goals and there will be several players looking to stake their claim for a starting spot at the World Cup.

Egypt have also been in the goals, netting five across their last three assignments, and they can play their part in an entertaining encounter.

The Pharaohs have plenty of creativity in their squad and they will fancy their chances of scoring against a Brazil side who have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four matches.

Alternative Bet - Draw @ 7/2

With Mohamed Salah back after being rested for the recent win against Russia following a long farewell season with Liverpool, Egypt boast the quality to get the better of any team on their day.

The Pharaohs competed well against Spain in the March international break, securing a 0-0 draw against the European champions.

That is the second draw in normal time in Egypt’s last four outings and they should present a tough challenge for Brazil.

The Selecao have ramped things up in their last two fixtures, but they were held to a 1-1 draw by Tunisia in November and there looks to be value in backing a share of the spoils in this contest.

Brazil v Egypt Bet Builder Tip

  • Igor Thiago anytime goalscorer

  • Mohamed Salah anytime goalscorer

    Pays 15/2

Igor Thiago has enjoyed a fine season with Brentford, netting 22 goals in the Premier League and trailing only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland in the scoring charts.

The Brazilian forward has also got on the scoresheet in his last two international games, converting penalties in the wins over Croatia and Panama.

Salah scored four times for Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations and he remains their most potent asset in the final third.

The forward netted 12 times for Liverpool this season and he can head into the World Cup on the back of a scoring performance against Brazil.
