Bournemouth v AC Milan Prediction: 7/4 Italians may be tough to see off

Bournemouth are two wins from two in the league phase of the Europa League, but a home tie against AC Milan is the toughest fixture Marco Rose’s side have faced so far.

The Cherries gained their first Premier League success of the campaign against struggling Sunderland on Sunday, but they take on a team who are unbeaten in their last seven Serie A matches and who have realistic aims of claiming the trophy this season under former Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.

Alternative Bet - Alphadjo Cisse to score at any time @ 3/1
Bet Builder - Omari Hutchinson 1+ shots on target, Strahinja Pavlovic to be booked and both teams to score @ 35/4

Bournemouth v AC Milan Prediction

Best Bet: AC Milan draw no bet @ 7/4

Bournemouth have already got the better of Sturm Graz and Real Sociedad in what is their first season of European football, but their third opponents in the league phase, Milan, may prove a more difficult examination.

The Cherries have had little else to cheer this season, and while they claimed their first Premier League success of the campaign with a 2-0 win over Sunderland on Sunday, they were facing a Black Cats team that have slipped to the bottom of the division.

Milan are unbeaten in their seven Serie A matches this season and while they lost 2-0 to Benfica in their Europa League opener, a 4-0 victory over RB Salzburg steadied the ship for Amorim’s side.

They have drawn three of their last four away games, so it could be best to use the draw-no-bet option, but the value looks to be in getting behind the visitors.

Alternative Bet: Alphadjo Cisse to score at any time @ 3/1

Alphadjo Cisse has been given a big chance at Milan after a loan spell at Serie B Catanzaro and the teenager looks to be grabbing his opportunity with both hands.

He has hit the ground running in the big time, scoring in his first two away matches at Torino and Juventus, but the highlight came in Milan’s last Europa League clash against RB Salzburg.

The teenager scored three times on that occasion and having been an unused substitute in Sunday’s 3-2 win over Atalanta, he should be champing at the bit to get back in the action and the 19-year-old can find the net once again.

Bournemouth v AC Milan Bet Builder Tip

  • Omari Hutchinson 1+ shots on target

  • Strahinja Pavlovic to be booked

  • Both teams to score

    Pays 35/4

Omari Hutchinson earned a move to the San Siro from Nottingham Forest in August and while his chances have been limited so far, he will see this as a great chance to impress Amorim.

The former Ipswich Town wideman excelled in the victory over Salzburg and, having had three efforts on goal, two of which were on target, in that game, he could at least test the Bournemouth goalkeeper, especially if he occupies the more advanced role he filled in the 2-0 defeat to Benfica.

While Amorim is once again expected to shuffle the pack, Strahinja Pavlovic has been a regular feature for the Rossoneri, having played 90 minutes against Salzburg and Benfica while not missing a minute of Serie A action either.

He was booked in the defeat to the Portuguese outfit and also in three of his seven league appearances this season, so it would not be a shock if he was cautioned again.

Bournemouth have failed to score in just one of their last 18 matches and with both teams finding the net in all but one of Milan’s last six away games, there could be goals at both ends in Thursday’s meeting.
