The showdown, which is taking place in Athens, is designed to serve as a warm-up fight for 'Money' Mayweather as he edges closer towards a blockbuster rematch with fighting foe Manny Pacquaio in September.
The 45-year-old has agreed terms for a lucrative second affair with the Filipino 11 years on from there gargantuan dust-up in Las Vegas which the American won via unanimous decision.
Since then, Mayweather has ventured into the exhibition scene and returns there next weekend to tackle the dangerous kickboxing world champion Zambidis, who boasts a seriously impressive 158-24 record.
However, Mayweather has famously never been beaten, and will be keen to ensure that record remains intact ahead of a multi-million dollar clash with PacMan in a few months time.
Whilst no official figures have been revealed, it's anticipated that the fight purse for Mayweather vs Zambidis stands at around $8 million (£6 million).
In terms of previous paydays for Mayweather, it's a relatively modest sum, with the brash American the only fighter to have picked up in excess of $200 million for a single fight!
He is understood to have earned a handsome $275 million after stopping Conor McGregor in there 2017 showcase, a fight which saw 'Money' extend his professional record to a landmark 50-0.
Floyd Mayweather is likely to earn the lion's share of the fight purse, with estimates suggesting he will take home 80 percent of the pot, meaning he is likely to earn around $6.4 million (£4.8 million).
The figure will likely be dwarfed by the reported $200 million cheque he is expected to earn from a second clash with Pacquaio, although sponsorship deals and endorsements are expected to further enhance his pay day from the Zambidis bout to around $10 million (£7.5 million).
Floyd Mayweather is understood to boast a net worth of around £150 million.
It's estimated the Michigan-born star has amassed over £1 billion from his catalogue of high-profile boxing bouts over the years, but given his lavish lifestyle and desire for luxury cars and houses, his net worth is significantly less.
