Elena Rybakina has replaced Aryna Sabalenka at the top of the WTA rankings after reaching the semi-finals of the US Open for the first time in her career.
The former Wimbledon and current Australia Open champion came through a tough three-setter against Qinwen Zheng at the US Open and will now replace Sabalenka as the new world number one when the rankings are released at the start of next week.
