Daniel Munoz potential next club

There have been months of speculation surrounding the future of Crystal Palace's Daniel Munoz and it's looking increasingly likely that he could move on before the end of August.

The Eagles have brought in two new defensive additions so far this month, in Oscar Mingueza and Takehiro Tomiyasu, and a third signing is understood to be close.

Anan Khalaili is on the verge of joining Palace from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise, which could signal the end of Munoz's time at Selhurst Park.

In this article, we take a look at which club could win the race for his signature, should the Colombian wing-back opt to move on.

Premier League

Everton

Everton are understood to be keen on bringing Munoz to the Hill-Dickinson Stadium, as they seek summer reinforcements.

Boss David Moyes has been short of options on the right-hand side of defence, often having to use central midfielder James Garner as a makeshift full-back.

The Toffees had been strongly linked with a move for Celtic's Canada international Alastair Johnston, but that potential deal appears to have hit the buffers.

Now that Palace have been able to add new faces prior to the new season, expect the Merseysiders to step up their bid to sign Munoz before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea

Reece James looks to be Chelsea's first-choice right back, but the England star has suffered several injuries over the last couple of seasons.

That has led to the Blues being linked with defensive cover and Munoz is believed to be one of the players they have considered.

The 30-year-old would offer Xabi Alonso another option down the right flank, but the Blues have already spent big during this window.

Chelsea may need to move on a couple of their current crop of defenders before they can add another new face, but that's not beyond the realms of possibility.

Inter Milan

Milan giants Inter go into the 2026-27 campaign as Serie A champions and looking to win their 22nd Italian national title.

One big setback this summer for Nerazzurri boss Cristian Chivu has been the exit of Netherlands international defender Denzel Dumfries, who has joined Real Madrid.

Former Manchester City pair Manuel Akanji - following a loan spell - and John Stones have both moved to the San Siro during the close season, but they need an attacking threat out wide.

Munoz, who has two years left on his Palace contract, would look like a good option but the player's wages might be a stumbling block.

Barcelona

Catalan giants Barcelona were linked with Munoz during the January transfer window and there is now renewed talk that they might make a move for the Colombian.

Barca have allowed defender Ronald Araujo to join Liverpool on a season-long loan, which could pave the way for another summer addition.

A move though for the Palace man could depend on the proposed signing of Man City's star midfielder Rodri, which could end their transfer activity this month should it go through.
