As England produce one of the greatest batting performances in recent history to chase down a target of 371 runs and beat India in the 1st Test at Headingley, we take a look at England's top five highest successful run chases in the history of Test cricket.
Ben Stokes' side had given themselves a glimmer of hope on day four as they took the final six India 2nd innings wicket for just 31 runs to keep the target to below 400.
That flurry of wickets proved crucial, as a magnificent opening partnership of 188 runs from openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett set the tone on a fantastic final day in Leeds.
The dismissal of Stokes left England still requiring 69 runs with just five wickets remaining, but the calmness of the brilliant Joe Root and a vital innings from Jamie Smith guided England home to give them a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
This successful run chase is England's second highest in Test history, just seven runs short of the 378 they scored against the same opponents in an historic fifth Test back in 2022.
