England will bid to seal a spot in the knockout rounds of the 2026 World Cup when they tackle African giants Ghana at the Boston Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The Three Lions kicked-off their campaign in triumphant fashion courtesy of an impressive 4-2 victory over Croatia in Dallas last week and will now bid to further cement their spot at the summit of Group L.
Ghana themselves have the carrot of qualification to the last 32 dangling in front of them after edging past Panama 1-0 in their opener, but they head into the clash with Thomas Tuchel's side as the significant underdogs.
Still, a shock victory for the Black Stars would seal their progression through to the last 32 and pile the pressure on England ahead of their final group encounter with Panama on Saturday night.
England reaped the rewards of an air conditioned stadium for their meeting with Croatia in Dallas last week, but they won't have such luxuries in Boston this evening when they resume their World Cup campaign.
Thankfully however, it appears as though that won't matter with conditions in Foxborough, Massachusetts, expected to be significantly cooler than the outdoor temperature in Texas six days ago.
According to the forecasts, the match, which kicks-off at 21:00 (BST) and 16:00 (local time), will get underway in temperatures of around 19 degrees, with a 50 percent chance of rainfall at some stage during the match.
There has been a recent heatwave sweeping across the United States, but England should benefit from a brief weather front which will see the temperatures temporarily dip from the upper 20s to low 30s, just in time for their second Group L fixture.
