England and Australia will celebrate the 150th Anniversary of one of cricket's most fierce rivalries in 2027.
There will be a 150th Anniversary Test match played between the two sides, with Australia having won the 100th Anniversary iteration by 45 runs n 1977.
The 150th Anniversary Test Match between England and Australia will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia.
One of the most iconic cricket venues in the world, the MCG can hold approximately 100,000 people.
According to Cricket Australia, the one-off Test match will take place between 11th-15th March 2027.
It has also been announced that the 150th Anniversary Test will be a day-night match.
Chief Executive of Cricket Australia - Todd Greenberg - said the match will be "be one of the great cricket events".
He continued to add that: "Playing under lights will be a fantastic way to celebrate both our game's rich heritage and Test cricket's modern evolution.
"It will also help ensure more people are able to attend and watch what will be a fantastic occasion. We look forward to celebrating this historic occasion further as it draws nearer."
The first Test match between England and Australia took place at the MCG in 1877, with Australia winning by 45 runs, in a series which ultimately ended 1-1.
In 1977, a 100th Anniversary Test match took place with Australia emerging as winners by 45 runs again.
