England will kick-off their UEFA Nations League campaign with a tasty showdown against world champions Spain at Wembley Stadium this evening.
Thomas Tuchel's men have been paired with the recently crowned World Cup winners as well as Croatia and Czechia in their group for the 2026/27 staging of the competition.
England finished third in the Stateside showpiece this summer, following up their agonising semi-final defeat at the hands of Argentina with a statement 6-4 success over France in the third-placed playoff.
Head coach Tuchel faced huge criticism for the manner of the Three Lions' loss to the South Americans in the last four and knows their could be further heat on him should his side fail to put on a solid showing against the Spaniards.
Tonight's match will represent the first time the two nations will have met since the EURO 2024 final and we take a look at how England have fared in all 28 of the previous meetings.

England possess a winning record in this fixture having won 14 of the 28 matches to date.
Spain have prevailed in 11 of those clashes with just three fixtures ending in stalemate -- the most recent being a decade ago in an international friendly.
While Thomas Tuchel's side edged the all-time record, it's their opponents who have dominated in more recent times.
Of the last 10 fixtures, the first of which took place in February 2021, Spain have prevailed in six of those, including, of course, the most recent in Berlin two years ago.
The only stalemate in that sequence occurred in 2016 when the pair played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Wembley.
