The 2017/18 campaign was a relatively disappointing one for Borussia Dortmund under the stewardship of Austrian manager Peter Stoger.
Dortmund headed into the season as the defending DFB-Pokal champions and expectations were high that they could challenge Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga.
In reality, they failed to participate in the title race as they finished 29 points behind champions Bayern, but they did secure a fourth-placed finish and UEFA Champions League football.
Their UEFA Champions League campaign during the 2017/18 season was a disastrous one as they dropped into the UEFA Europa League after picking up just two points during the group stage.
They were also bundled out of the Europa League in the Last 16 as they suffered a surprise 2-1 aggregate defeat to Red Bull Salzburg, while their DFB-Pokal bid came to an end at the same stage.
Swiss goalkeeper Roman Burki played the most matches for Dortmund in the 2017/18 season, making 46 appearances across all competitions.
Greek centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos featured 43 times across the season, while USA winger Christian Pulisic made 41 appearances.
The top five appearance makers during the season also includes Turkey's Omer Toprak and combative German midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud.
